We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Design and Technology Teacher to join our thriving department at a welcoming, high-achieving school in Birmingham. This is a full-time, permanent role, suitable for both Early Career Teachers and experienced professionals. For experienced applicants, the role will include A-Level teaching.

? The Role – Responsibilities
As a Design and Technology Teacher, you will:

Teach Textiles across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach A-Level depending on experience.

*

Inspire creativity through engaging, practical projects focused on design, materials, sustainability, and innovation.

*

Prepare students for both practical assessments and theoretical components of examination courses.

*

Work collaboratively within a team of Design and Technology Teachers to enhance curriculum and resources.

*

Support the organisation of enrichment activities such as clubs, fashion events, and exhibitions.

*

Contribute to ongoing curriculum development, department planning, and school-wide initiatives.

Holds QTS and a relevant degree in textiles, fashion, or a related design subject.
