Civils Project Manager – Major Tier 1 Scheme

The Opportunity

We are working in partnership with a leading Tier 1 contractor to recruit an experienced Civils Project Manager for a major flagship project in the Cardiff area.

This is a high-profile, technically challenging scheme involving cofferdams, heavy plant foundations and large-scale industrial buildings.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the planning, coordination and delivery of key civil engineering works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

You’ll be managing site teams, subcontractors and stakeholders, with full commercial and programme responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

* Overall management of civil engineering works on a major industrial scheme

* Delivery of cofferdams, deep foundations and heavy concrete structures

* Programme planning, cost control and risk management

* Managing site teams, engineers and subcontractors

* Client and stakeholder liaison

* Ensuring compliance with HSEQ standards and company procedures

* Driving quality, productivity and performance on site

About You

You will be a proven Project Manager with strong experience in heavy civils environments.

Essential experience:

* Strong background in cofferdams or temporary works

* Experience with heavy plant foundations

* Delivery of industrial or large infrastructure projects

* Worked for a main contractor or Tier 1 / Tier 2 environment

* Excellent leadership and commercial awareness

Desirable:

* Civil Engineering degree or equivalent

* SMSTS / CSCS / First Aid

* Experience on projects £10m
