Job Title: Commercial Gas Engineer (Mobile)
Location: Merseyside
Salary: Up to £42,000 DOE
Hours: Mon–Fri, 08:00–16:30
The Role

We’re recruiting an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer for a mobile role across key public sector sites, primarily Merseyside Police, with occasional work at Chester University and education contracts.

You’ll join a close-knit engineering team, providing planned and reactive maintenance on gas systems and supporting with general mechanical tasks (pumps, filters, AHUs, etc.).

Key Details

* Call-Out Rota: 1-in-7 (£100 standby, min 2 hours paid per callout)

* Overtime: 1.5x (weekdays/Saturdays), 2x (Sundays/bank holidays)

* Free Parking: On all sites

Requirements

* Commercial gas qualifications (ACS or equivalent)

* Experience in commercial or public sector facilities preferred

* Full UK driving licence

* Able to pass enhanced DBS and Police Vetting

* Willing to support wider mechanical tasks as needed
