About you
You’re a CNC operator who enjoys variety. You like having a few machines on the go, different materials coming through, and a workshop that stays busy. You’re comfortable working on your own once you know the job, but you’re just as happy being part of a wider production team.
Ideally, you’ve already worked in signage and understand how sign components come together. If not, you’ve got the right foundations and the appetite to learn. You take pride in accuracy and finish, notice when something is slightly off, and sort it before it becomes a problem.
Your experience
You’ve worked in a fabrication or manufacturing environment and understand the pace that comes with it. CNC routing is familiar territory, and you’ve got hands-on experience running machines with confidence.
Signage CNC experience is a strong advantage, but it isn’t essential. What matters more is that you’re technically capable, organised, and keen to develop your skills. You’re used to working with materials like acrylics, metals, woods and composites, and you’re comfortable reading specifications, setting tooling and making adjustments when needed.
What you’ll be doing with your experience in this role
You’ll be operating CNC routers and laser cutters to produce a wide range of signage components. You’ll manage multiple machines, load materials, change tooling, and make sure everything is cut accurately and to specification.
You’ll carry out quality checks, spot issues early, and adjust programs or processes when required. You’ll help keep stock organised, flag material requirements, and look after equipment through regular checks and preventative maintenance.
Alongside CNC work, you’ll support general production when needed. That might include handling materials, minor assembly work using hand tools, or helping move finished goods through the workshop. You’ll keep your workspace clean, safe and well organised at all times.
About the business
This is a creative signage and branding workshop producing a wide range of work. The work is varied and fast moving, with plenty of opportunity to broaden your skills if you want to.
It’s an environment that supports learning, values good attitude, and rewards people who care about quality and getting the job done properly.
Next steps
If you’re a CNC operator from a signage background, or a capable CNC operator looking to move into signage and be trained up, this role is worth a look.
