We are looking for a dynamic, professional and experienced Guest Accommodation Manager to join our team on the start of this exciting journey.
Purpose of the Post:
The post holder will manage summer accommodation operations, focusing on converting student accommodations into commercial rentals to increase revenue during the summer. They oversee Front of House Operations, including hiring temporary staff and coordinating with suppliers, handle contract negotiations, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
They're responsible for managing revenue, aiming to meet targets for average daily rate (ADR) and occupancy. They assist in managing bookings and oversee operations for guests staying.
Overall, they ensure guests have a great experience, maximise occupancy, and keep costs within budget for the accommodations. They're also available for emergencies and incidents outside normal office hours during the summer operating period.
Responsibilities:
* Supervise staff to ensure they complete their daily tasks efficiently to support business needs.
* Manage staff performance, development, training, and recruitment processes to align with departmental goals.
* Schedule staff for summer accommodations, ensuring adequate staffing.
* Monitor payroll to stay within budget and forecast future staffing needs.
Core Duties:
* Assist in generating revenue through various bookings as directed.
* Help develop pricing strategies to meet occupancy targets.
* Manage year-round and summer guest accommodations and front desk operations.
* Supervise front desk services to maintain high customer service standards and efficient operations.
* Organise and store registration cards in compliance with GDPR and building guidelines.
* Procure necessary supplies within budget for hotel operations.
* Negotiate prices with suppliers and ensure timely deliveries.
* Gather and publish customer feedback for accommodations.
* Handle customer correspondence and complaints following building policies.
* Ensure compliance with Safeguarding and Health and Safety regulations.
* Represent the department in meetings and committees.
* Build relationships and communicate with key internal staff.
* Analyse data and create annual budget plans and audit reports.
* Work with finance to manage payments and stocks properly, reporting any issues.
Other Duties:
* Facilitate communication between Residential Services and Commercial Operations.
* Organise tours to showcase facilities.
* Coordinate annual inspections to achieve high ratings.
* Be flexible and proactive in meeting department needs across all locations.
