Are you able to use a range of specialist measuring equipment i.e. – Vernier Calliper, Micrometre, Height Gauge, Slip Gauges, X-Ray, Clock & Stand, Depth Micrometre and RA Testers?

Our client is a highly successful manufacturing business providing a sub-contract component and assembly service to the Industry. They are looking for Quality Inspectors to ensure products are manufactured to the correct quality standards.

As the Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that the components produced are of the best quality and correct to customer specifications. You must be prepared to move around the company‘s three quality areas to build up an all-round knowledge of QC procedures for this position.

Hours of work are 39 hours per week. 8-5 Monday - Thursday (with ½ hour unpaid lunch and 10 minutes paid break) and 8-1 Friday

As the Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for the

* Ensuring product components are of a high standard in line with company standards

* Checking specifications match up to customers’ requirements

* Ensuring components' quality and standards before dispatch

* Executing goods and materials for defect and quality levels

* Aid calibration of measuring and production equipment

* Work to improve and identify areas of quality improvement

* Verify dimensions are correct to required orders and build

* Drive ethos of correct working process and best practices

* Be involved in daily meetings to identify areas of opportunity

* Liaise with customers on standards and specifications of goods

* Ensure a safe, clean orderly workspace

* Maintain records for standards and non-conforming products

Person Specification:

* Experience in reading and understanding engineering drawings is essential to the job

* The ability to use precise measuring tools such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometre, Height Gauge, Slip Gauges, X-Ray, Clock & Stand, Depth Micrometre and RA Tester is a must

* Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal are required for the role

* Must have an excellent eye for detail to execute the role

* A strong understanding of math is highly desirable
