About the Company
Our client are a well-established scaffolding company based in Liverpool, known for delivering safe, reliable, and high-quality scaffolding services across the North West. Their projects span commercial, residential, and industrial sectors, and they pride themselves on a reputation built through professionalism, strong client relationships, and attention to detail.
As their business continues to grow, they are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to join their leadership team and play a key role in overseeing and delivering scaffolding projects from start to finish.
The Role
The Contracts Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and delivery of scaffolding projects. You will act as the primary point of contact for clients, manage operational teams, and ensure that all works are completed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
This is a senior position and would suit someone with proven experience in a Contracts Manager role or above, or someone who has successfully run their own scaffolding company and is looking for a new opportunity within a growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Manage multiple scaffolding contracts from tender to completion.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Allocate resources effectively including labour, materials, and transport.
Ensure all works comply with relevant health & safety regulations and company procedures.
Oversee project budgets, valuations, variations, and final accounts.
Attend site visits, client meetings, and progress reviews.
Resolve operational or contractual issues quickly and professionally.
Support commercial and estimating teams during the bidding process when required.
Requirements
Significant experience as a Contracts Manager or at a more senior level within the scaffolding or construction industry.
Alternatively, experience running your own scaffolding business will also be considered.
In-depth knowledge of scaffolding systems, safety legislation, and industry best practices.
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
Commercial awareness with a solid understanding of contracts and cost management.
SMSTS or SSSTS, First Aid, and valid CISRS card (preferred).
Full UK driving licence.
Must be based in or near Liverpool with a good understanding of the local construction landscape.
