Job Opportunity: Purchase Ledger / Bookkeeper
Location: Cross Green, LS9, Leeds
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 (dependent on experience)
Hours:Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 5:00pm and Friday: 8:30am - 3:30pm
Parking: On-site parking available
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
We are currently seeking an experienced or aspiring Purchase Ledger / Bookkeeper to join our team at our office in Cross Green, LS9. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to play a key role in the financial operations of a growing business.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing the purchase ledger: processing invoices, reconciling statements, handling supplier queries
Outbound calls to suppliers to arrange quotations
Bookkeeping duties including data entry, bank reconciliations, and VAT returns
Assisting with month-end processes and supporting the wider finance team
Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely payments
Liaising with suppliers and internal departments
What we're looking for:
Proven experience in a purchase ledger or bookkeeping role (desirable)
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
A team player with a proactive attitude
