Part-Time SENCo - Brixton Primary School - September 2025 Start
Pertemps Education is working with a primary school in Brixton to recruit a qualified and experienced SENCo for a part-time position starting in September 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team committed to ensuring that all pupils with additional needs receive the support they need. The role is for 3 days per week and would suit someone with strong knowledge of SEND processes and a collaborative approach to leadership.
Location: Brixton
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Part-Time (3 days per week)
Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN & Inner London Allowance (Pro Rata)
About the Role:
Lead the coordination of SEND provision across the school, ensuring that pupils receive timely, effective support
Work in close collaboration with the school’s Inclusion Manager to develop and implement strategic approaches to inclusion
Oversee and review EHCPs, support plans, and referrals to external agencies
Liaise with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to support children’s academic and emotional development
Monitor and track the progress of pupils with SEN, using data to inform interventions and planning
Provide guidance, training, and support to staff in delivering quality inclusive teaching
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of statutory requirements and best practice in SENDThe Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold the National Award for SEN Coordination or be working towards it
Have substantial experience supporting pupils with a range of SEND in a primary setting
Demonstrate excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills
Be confident in working collaboratively across staff teams and with external professionals
Have a thorough understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and local authority processes
