Verus Recruitment is pleased to partner with a highly respected regional accountancy practice seeking an Audit Senior for their Sheffield office.

This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse client base, including charities, owner-managed businesses, large limited companies, and subsidiaries of overseas groups. You will play a key role in the audit lifecycle, delivering high-quality services while mentoring and supporting junior team members.

Lead and support audit assignments, including planning, conducting fieldwork, and completing audits for a variety of clients.
Supervise and mentor junior team members, reviewing their work and providing guidance to enhance their technical and professional skills.
Prepare financial accounts and tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Utilise advanced software tools such as CCH ProAudit and Digita to streamline the audit process.
Ensure compliance with internal audit methodologies and external regulatory standards.
Build and maintain lasting client relationships, providing insights that contribute to their long-term success. Candidate Requirements:

ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with hands-on audit experience from a medium or large firm.
Solid background in preparing statutory financial accounts and corporate tax returns.
Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and clear communication with clients.
Proven leadership abilities, including supervising and mentoring junior staff.
