We are seeking a Senior Deskside Engineer to join a reputable organisation in the industrial/manufacturing sector. The successful candidate will provide technical support and ensure smooth IT operations in a fast-paced environment in Manchester.

Description

Provide deskside support for IT-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Respond promptly to service requests, troubleshooting hardware and software problems effectively.
Manage and maintain IT equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Support the installation, configuration, and updates of software and hardware systems.
Collaborate with the technology department to improve IT support processes and documentation.
Assist in maintaining IT security protocols and compliance within the organisation.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members and other departments as needed.
Work on IT projects to enhance system efficiency and user experience.Profile

A successful Senior Deskside Engineer should have:​

· Strong working knowledge across the MS Stack including the Windows OS Family, Active Directory (hybrid)

· Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and system issues.

· line management or team lead experience

· Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment

· ITIL certification or experience​

· Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills

· Experience of Service management tools eg ServiceNOW, SysAID etc

· Willingness to learn new skills and technologies

· At least three years of experience in IT support or similar role

· Knowledge of MS Windows operating system, Microsoft Office

· Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose IT issues and provide solutions

· Attention to detail, accuracy, and quality

· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Job Offer
