Junior Merchandiser Responsibilities:
* Take ownership of certain product areas, whilst supporting the Senior Merchandiser and helping to shape the future of the business through effective merchandising strategies
* Partner with the wider merchandising team to prepare and deliver strategy packs, ensuring accurate product attribution across the range
* Collaborate with the buying team to help shape seasonal strategies by collating and analysing data, and providing insightful KPI reports
* Review data to identify trends, must-haves, and best sellers to highlight to the buying team
* Identify core lines to correctly balance stock, maximise availability and reduce terminal stock
* Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support strategic and trading decisions across merchandising and buying teams
* Manage new products, ensuring they are arranged in line with buying plans and timelines, whilst monitoring option plans
* Monitor sales performance against the WSSI, identifying underperforming areas and taking action to drive sales and maximise profit
* Share performance insights and KPIs with the buying team, flagging any risks that may arise
* Review distribution to stock, working with the wider merchandising and warehouse team to move stock between stores and online
* Oversee delivery commitments, cost changes, and ensure all product lines are on track and aligned with department goals
Junior Merchandiser Skills and Experience:
* Experience within a similar merchandising role, ideally gained within retail or e-commerce
* Gained exposure in end-to-end seasonal planning and strategy
* Strong analytical skills, confident in collating and understanding data to draw insights and inform strategy
* A strong eye for detail alongside excellent administration skills
* Collaborative and proactive, with a passion for driving commercial success and maximising margins
