Salary: M1 – UPS3 per annum (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Science Teacher to join a reputable and supportive secondary school in Hull. Whether you're an experienced practitioner or an ECT, this is a brilliant opportunity to contribute to a high-performing science department where innovation and student progress are key priorities.

As a Teacher of Science, you will deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on your specialism and experience. You will be responsible for supporting student progress through practical investigations, theoretical knowledge, and real-world scientific applications.

Teacher of Science Responsibilities:

Teach Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics to students across the secondary age range
Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to cater for varying abilities
Support students’ academic growth and passion for the sciences
Develop and assess schemes of work and contribute to curriculum development
Create a safe and engaging classroom environment where all learners feel encouraged
Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
Participate in department meetings, school events, and professional development
Skills & Requirements for a Science Teacher:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
A degree in a science-related subject such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology or simiar
Experience teaching Science at the secondary level
Ability to teach across Key Stages, including GCSE and (ideally) A-Level
Strong classroom management and organisational skills
Have an updated CV and an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply for one
