Central is currently recruiting for a part time Scheme Manager, to work in the Acton area. The Sheltered Housing scheme provides support to older people over the aged of 55, to help them maintain their independence, resolve repairs and maintenance issues, and ensure safety and security.

The successful candidate will be required to work 17.5 hours per week, working 2-3 days across Monday - Friday, from 9AM-3PM. There is some flexibility with the shift days/times. Temporary cover is required for approximately 3 months. The pay rate is £16.00 per hour, with £2.33 holiday pay, totalling £18.33 per hour.

Please note: you'll be required to work across up to three sheltered housing schemes in the Action area.

In this position, you will be required to:

* Line-manage a Cleaner, Caretaker and Facilities Assistant as required ensuring a high standard of cleanliness throughout the scheme

* Provide cover for other schemes when required to ensure a consistent level of service delivery

* Facilitate activities for residents that improve health and wellbeing and promoting use of communal spaces

* Report and proactively monitor reactive repairs, preventative maintenance and estate services, both internally and to the wider grounds

* Continuously assess residents' needs to ensure they have the right level of support

* Provide practical assistance to customers, supporting them in resolving their queries and issues

* Identify and act on any safeguarding concerns, and manage risks appropriately

* Update and maintain case management systems, ensuring accurate data on residents is held

* Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external agencies in order to effectively signpost residents to additional/specialist care and support

* Provide access for and appropriately supervise contractors, statutory service workers and other professionals, whilst on the premises

To apply for this role, you must have:

* Experience of working with older people

* Knowledge of health and social care issues in a residential setting

* Experience of conducting risk assessments

* Experience of housing management, reporting repairs and health and safety

* The ability to work independently, and proactively manage own workload and time

* The ability to develop professional relationships with residents and internal and external customers, whilst maintaining appropriate boundaries

* Experience using CRM platforms and NEC

* IT skills including the use of Microsoft Office applications

* Essential: Full driving licence (to travel to other schemes as required)

Further requirements:

In order to register with Central Recruitment Services for temporary agency work, candidates must meet the following criteria:

* Current valid right to work in the UK

* Minimum 12 months’ of paid experience in a front line social care role within the last 3 years* (unless recruitment criteria states otherwise)

* A fully enhanced DBS registered on the DBS update service or willingness to apply for one through Central (at a cost of £50)

* Employment or education history to cover the last 5 years which can be verified through the referencing process
