Job Title: Satellite RF Engineer

Salary: £50,000 – £80,000 (depending on experience)

About the Role
We’re working with an innovative space company to hire a Satellite RF Engineer to join their team in London. In this permanent role, you’ll be responsible for the design, development, and testing of RF systems used in satellite communications—playing a key part in delivering the next generation of orbital missions.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting-edge RF technology for space, from concept to flight, within a fast-moving and highly skilled engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop RF systems and components for satellite platforms
Support link budgets, frequency planning, and system-level RF performance analysis
Integrate and test RF subsystems including antennas, filters, amplifiers, and transceivers
Work closely with digital and systems engineers to ensure seamless integration
Conduct lab-based and on-orbit RF performance testing and troubleshooting
Prepare technical documentation and support project reviews
Stay up to date with industry trends and regulatory standards in satellite communications
Required Skills & Experience
Degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications, or related discipline
Strong experience with RF design for satellite or aerospace applications
Familiarity with RF simulation tools (e.g. CST, HFSS, ADS) and lab test equipment (e.g. VNAs, spectrum analysers)
Knowledge of satellite link budgets, modulation schemes, and spectrum allocation
Ability to work in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
