Job Title: MIG/TIG Welder – Mild Steel & Stainless Steel

Hours: Monday - Friday 08:00am - 16:30pm

Job Summary:

The Recruitment Group are seeking a skilled and reliable MIG/TIG Welder with experience in working with both mild steel and stainless steel. 

Key Responsibilities:

Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding on mild steel and stainless steel components.

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.

Set up welding machines based on job requirements and specifications.

Measure, cut, and join metal parts using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.

Inspect and test welds to ensure structural soundness and compliance with quality standards.

Operate grinders, plasma cutters, and other fabrication equipment as needed.

Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety procedures and guidelines.

Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines and quality standards.

Qualifications:

1+ year of MIG and TIG welding experience, specifically with mild steel and stainless steel.

Proficiency in reading blueprints and understanding welding symbols.

Strong knowledge of metal properties, welding techniques, and fabrication processes.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

AWS certification or equivalent welding qualification.

Experience with custom metal fabrication or production welding.

Familiarity with lean manufacturing or ISO quality systems.
