Control Systems Engineer – Coventry (with some overseas travel)

We’re seeking a Control Systems Engineer with hands-on experience commissioning Siemens drives (S120), Siemens PLCs (STEP 7 / TIA) and Siemens CNC controls.

The role:

* Commission CNC machine tools & perform production trials

* Configure, test & calibrate PLC/CNC systems, HMIs & servo drives

* Design/test control circuits (electrical & PLC) ensuring CE/UKCA compliance

* Fault-find electrical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems

* Provide customer support at site and overseas

What you’ll need:

* Strong practical experience with inverter drives, servo motors, actuators & sensors

* Ability to read electrical, pneumatic & hydraulic schematics

* PLC programming skills (TIA Portal / STEP 7; Siemens 840D a plus)

* Knowledge of CNC machine tools & basic NC programming

* Confident, self-motivated, and problem-solving mindset

Package:

* £40k–£45k depending on experience

* Permanent, full-time (Mon–Thu 7:30–4, Fri 7:30–3)

* Based in Coventry with occasional overseas travel
