Quantity Surveyor – Groundworks Subcontractor

Teesside (Hybrid)
£45,000 – £55,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits

My client is a trusted subcontractor delivering civil engineering and groundworks packages across the North East. The business partners with major housebuilders to provide infrastructure works, drainage, highways, and plot foundations that form the backbone of new housing developments. They’re now looking for a motivated Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Running groundworks projects end-to-end: budgets, cost control & reporting

* Building strong client and stakeholder relationships

* Assessing weekly subcontractor payments

* Pricing variations, managing risks and opportunities

* Preparing monthly valuations & 2-stage cost value reports

* Working closely with site teams to track progress and costs

What We’re Looking For

* Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management

* 2+ years’ QS experience (ideally civils subcontractor or housing developer)

* Confident communicator with client-facing experience

* Organised, detail-driven, able to manage multiple live projects (approx. 3)

* Full UK driving licence & valid CSCS card
