The role

We are recruiting multiple General Assistants to support services within an NHS community hospital. This is a hands-on role supporting the day-to-day running of the hospital through cleaning and ward catering duties, helping to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients and staff.

What you’ll be doing

*

Cleaning wards, clinics, offices, toilets, and public areas

*

Providing food and drink service on hospital wards

*

Supporting on-site catering services

*

Following infection control, hygiene, and health & safety procedures

*

Assisting with movement of supplies and equipment when required

What we’re looking for

*

Full UK driving licence (essential)

*

Reliable, punctual, and physically able to carry out manual tasks

*

Comfortable working in a hospital environment

*

Flexible to cover early, evening, and weekend shifts

*

Experience in cleaning, catering, facilities, or hospitality is helpful but not essential

Additional requirements

*

Enhanced DBS

*

Availability to work 24th, 25th, 26th & 31st December and 1st January
