Full job description:
My client is seeking a Bicycle Workshop Mechanic to work within a school environment.
Working with Key stage 3 & 4 Students to support with life skills and BTEC qualifications
You must have an interest in the role and have a love of working with bikes and young female pupils who and need support within he workshops with their academic's skills and physical practise of fixing and maintenance of Working with Bikes.
If you have worked in a bike shop or interested in working with bikes.
Or If you are a Bicycle specialist and interested in working in Schools
The right person will be responsible for providing expertise with regards to maintenance advice to ensure the best customer care and experience. This role requires working closely with female students who require additional academic and pastoral support. Applicants must be able to provide appropriate support in line with safeguarding and school policies.
Responsibilities & Duties will include.o Diagnosing/identifying problems for accurate service and repair.
o The ability to carry out all types of service provided at Balfe's, including safety services, General Services and Full services within time allocated calendar bookings.
o A high level of product knowledge, knowing supplier brands
o Understand or have an interest of learning how to use tools and guidance on any repair.
o Work in a safe and efficient manner and adhere to all School policies and procedures relating to Health and Safety.
o To work with Students in Small groups with support them.
Qualifications/skills -
o 1 + years experience of working as a mechanic within a professional high paced environment or working in A school support position.
o Ability to work within a team and take instruction.

To be considered for the position you must have the following:
Experience supporting children with learning difficulties or disabilities.
Comfortable working with challenging behaviour.
Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff and students.
Key stage 3 - 4 experience.
5 days a week and able to commit to a contract
