I'm working with one of the world's largest engineering and project management consultancies, employing over 20,000 professionals globally. Their UK team plays a central role in shaping critical infrastructure across sectors including water, energy, defence, aviation, and the built environment.

Right now, they're looking to appoint a Senior Mechanical Engineer into their Manchester team - someone who's ready to contribute to nationally significant programmes and internationally recognised projects.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced mechanical engineer to step into a leadership role on technically challenging work, while being part of a forward-thinking, collaborative team.

What you'll be doing:

Leading mechanical design on multi-disciplinary projects
Managing junior engineers and contributing to team development
Preparing technical reports, scopes of work and bid proposals
Ensuring designs meet all UK regulations and relevant standards (including CDM, ATEX)
Engaging with teams across the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions

What they're looking for:

Chartered Mechanical Engineer (or working toward chartership)
Strong experience in the design and delivery of complex mechanical systems
In-depth knowledge of equipment such as pumps, blowers, screens and dosing plant
Sound understanding of current UK design codes and standards
Familiarity with large-scale infrastructure or multidisciplinary project environments
