Installation Electrician

First Achieve's Engineering division is working with a reputable Engineering Services Contractor based in the Central Belt, currently seeking to strengthen their Contracts Delivery Team with an Installation Electrician.
This is an excellent opportunity for a time-served electrician who is self-motivated, has strong communication skills, and has a background in industrial installations, ideally within the water treatment or utilities sector. You'll be involved in a range of upgrade projects on clean and wastewater treatment sites, primarily supporting the Scottish Water network.
Responsibilities:
Install field equipment, containment, and cabling to specification
Gland, terminate, and test installed cables prior to energisation
Interpret and work from electrical design drawings, cable block diagrams, and specifications
Conduct site surveys and produce reports for project engineers
Split working time between on-site installations and the company's East Kilbride facility
Collaborate with project engineers, mechanical fitters, and commissioning staff to deliver high-quality installations
Requirements:
18th Edition wiring regulations certification (BS7671)
Time-served electrical background with industrial experience
Strong understanding of electrical schematics and site documentation
Good communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong time management and ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Confident working both independently and within a team
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
HNC in Electrical Engineering
2391 Inspection & Testing
Experience working on Scottish Water or similar industrial projects
