Teaching Assistant - KS2 General Classroom Support

Contract: Long-term or Flexible Supply
Hours: Full-time or Flexible
Start: Immediate start available
Pay: £14-£17 per hour (depending on experience)

Empowering Learning is working closely with a welcoming and well-established mainstream primary school in the Birkenhead and Wirral area, which is seeking a qualified Teaching Assistant to provide general classroom support across Key Stage 2.

The school has a strong, inclusive ethos and places a high value on teamwork, consistency, and pupil wellbeing. Staff are well supported by an experienced leadership team, and there is a calm, purposeful learning environment throughout the school.

This role will involve supporting teaching and learning across different KS2 year groups, working alongside class teachers to help pupils remain engaged, confident, and on task. You may be asked to support whole-class learning, small-group activities, or provide general in-class assistance where needed.

The school is open to offering this role as a long-term placement for the right candidate, but would also consider regular flexible supply for Teaching Assistants who are looking for variety or need flexibility around their availability.
