A primary school in Rochdale has come directly to Teaching Personnel as they are looking for a caring, proactive, and committed Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.

About the Role:
As a Year 2 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support the learning and development of children in their first year of Key Stage 1. You will provide one-on-one support for pupils, assist in small group work, and help create a stimulating learning environment. Your role will be essential in helping children settle into their school routine and develop the skills they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide support to the Year 2 teacher in planning, delivering, and assessing lessons.
Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning and provide targeted support.
Assist in creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
Support children with a range of learning needs, including those with additional needs or English as an additional language.
Help with classroom management and ensure a positive learning atmosphere.
Foster good relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to support the overall development of the class.
About You:

Experience working with young children, preferably in a primary school setting.
A positive and proactive attitude with a passion for helping children succeed.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support children’s learning and well-being.
A commitment to creating an inclusive and nurturing environment for all students.
A Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
