Job Title: Registered Manager
Location: Multiple locations London and Home Counties
Salary: £55,000
Shift Pattern: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. You may at times be required to work outside these hours evenings or weekends dependent on service requirements. You will also take part in our out of hours on call rota for managers.
About the role
We're hiring a Registered Manager to lead our Ofsted registration for our children’s home which specialises in EBD.
We are only seeking people who have experience of working in Children’s home as RM’s. Deputy Managers are also welcome.
As a Registered Manager, you will lead the service and a team to deliver trauma informed children’s residential care, creating an environment which is safe, empowering, and non-judgmental. You will ensure high standards of service quality, performance, and improvement, whilst ensuring Ofsted guidelines are met.
Some of the duties include:
* Managing compliance, ensuring alignment with Ofsted standards as well as organisational standards and other regulatory frameworks
* Ensuring person-centred care and support is provided for our residents with a focus on trauma informed care and coping strategies for those with challenging behaviours.
* Safeguarding young people
* Implement quality management and improvement systems
* Line Management/Leadership
* Managing overall service delivery
* Risk Management, Information Management, and Case Recording
* Health and safety Management
* Financial Management
About you

* A thorough understanding of Ofsted regulatory requirements and safeguarding
* Understanding of behaviour management techniques and how to manage children who have complex and challenging behaviours.
* Proven experience in children’s homes and residential children’s settings.
* Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social care Residential Children’s pathway or equivalent, or willingness to complete relevant qualifications
* Confident leadership skills and ability to inspire and motivate a team and residents directly
* Confidence in using IT. We use various systems and software's so need someone who is confident in learning new IT skills and can navigate around computer systems that keep child and staff records.
* Ability to drive the service forward and implement improvements
* Confidence in managing complex situations and making decisions
* Ability to work at pace, using initiative, making decisions, and proactiveness in your approach
