Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Location: Pollington, East Yorkshire

Contract: Full-Time / Term-Time Only

Start Date: September 2025 (or as soon as possible)

Salary: £29,093 (Term time only)

Are you a passionate and experienced HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) looking for a new opportunity to make a difference in a supportive and welcoming school community?

TeacherActive is currently on the lookout for an amazing HLTA to work in one of our Primary Schools based in Pollington, Doncaster. The school is looking for one dedicated HLTA to join their dynamic team and play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality education across all year groups.

As a HLTA, you will:

Deliver planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher

Support individual and small group learning across the curriculum

Contribute to planning and assessment under the guidance of teaching staff

Promote a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment

Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals

We are looking for a HLTA who is:

Qualified to HLTA status (or equivalent)

Experienced in working with primary-aged pupils

Confident, enthusiastic, and committed to improving pupil outcomes

Flexible, organised, and proactive in supporting teaching and learning

A positive team player with excellent communication skills
