Overview

We are looking for an experienced Stonemason / Bricklayer to join a project based near BA3 5LL. The work will involve stonework repair, restoration, blockwork, brickwork and general masonry duties on a long-term construction project. This is ongoing work for the right person, starting next week.

Responsibilities

* Carry out high-quality stonework, including cutting, shaping, dressing and laying natural stone.

* Perform bricklaying and blockwork to site standards.

* Restoration work: repointing, repairing damaged stone, and maintaining heritage-style finishes.

* Work from drawings, specifications and verbal instructions.

* Maintain safe working practices and follow site rules.

* Liaise with site management and work as part of the team.

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Stonemason, Bricklayer, or General Mason.

* Strong skills with natural stone, lime mortar, brick and blockwork.

* Ability to produce precise, accurate and neat masonry finishes.

* CSCS Card – Blue or Skilled Worker preferred, but Green with strong experience considered.

* Own tools for stonework and bricklaying.

* PPE and ability to start on Monday 9th March.

Desirable (but not essential)

* NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Stonemasonry or Bricklaying

* Experience working on heritage or restoration projects

* Experience using lime mortars

* SSSTS / First Aid (advantage only)

* Own transport due to location
