Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join our client's growing team within a leading CNC-based precision engineering company. Working across aerospace, defence, and automotive sectors, you will be responsible for ensuring components meet strict quality standards using advanced inspection techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

* Inspection patrols

*

Perform detailed inspection of precision CNC-machined components

*

Use Mitutoyo measuring equipment (including CMM) for accurate assessments

*

Operate CMMs using MCOSMOS software

*

Interpret complex engineering drawings and technical specifications

*

Ensure compliance with industry standards (AS9100, ISO 9001)

*

Document inspection results and raise non-conformance reports

*

Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve issues

Requirements:

✅ Proven experience in quality inspection within a CNC precision engineering environment
✅ Strong knowledge of Mitutoyo equipment and MCOSMOS CMM software (DESIRABLE)
✅ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and tolerances
✅ Experience working to high-spec standards for aerospace, defence, or automotive sectors
✅ Good communication and problem-solving skills

Desirable:

Engineering qualifications (NVQ, HNC, BTEC, etc.)

*

Familiarity with quality tools (FMEA, PPAP, 8D, etc.)

*

Experience with visual or non-contact inspection systems
