Our Dordon Customer Fulfilment Centre (Ocado CFC2) is around 350,000 square feet and boasts world leading technology. At full capacity we will fulfil between 190,(Apply online only),000 customer orders a week from this one site alone, which requires 24/7 operation and a dedicated team of Engineers and Technicians.

About the role

We have an opportunity for an experienced Engineer to join our team at Ocado’s state-of-the-art automated Customer Fulfilment Centre in Dordon. You will be taking responsibility for the day-to-day maintenance of our automated warehouse, reacting quickly to MHE breakdowns; locating faults, analysing issues and resolving them in a timely manner. Using your engineering skills, you will creatively find ways of increasing machine reliability and solve problems along with actioning repairs. Working closely with manufacturers, suppliers and internal departments, you will find ways to improve processes and increase machine reliability and performance. You will also have the opportunity to get involved in exciting projects across the business.

Hours: Permanent - 42 Hours per week

About you

You will ideally have a strong electrical and/or mechanical experience, preferably within an FMCG environment with a formal qualification in an electrical or mechanical field (apprentice served, NVQ, HNC or equivalent). Good technical ability relating to automation hardware and software is required with some experience of both reactive and preventative maintenance. Problem solving skills and the ability to analyse and impart knowledge is essential.

Full training to complete the Engineer role over 7 weeks will be given but experience of working within an automated warehouse / logistics environment would be desirable.
