About the role

A vibrant and nurturing primary school in Coventry is seeking an enthusiastic and committed KS1 Teacher to join their team on a full‑time, long‑term basis. The school prides itself on its inclusive ethos, supportive leadership team and strong community values. They are looking for a teacher who can bring creativity, structure and warmth to the classroom, ensuring every child feels valued and supported.

You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality teaching across the KS1 curriculum, creating a stimulating learning environment and helping pupils develop strong foundations in reading, writing and numeracy. The ideal candidate will be confident adapting lessons to meet a range of needs and will have a genuine passion for early education.

Requirements

* PGCE and QTS are essential

* Strong classroom teaching experience within KS1

* SEND experience or strong SEND awareness is required

* Ability to plan engaging, differentiated lessons that support varied learning styles

* Confident managing behaviour using positive, consistent strategies

* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues

Day‑to‑day duties

* Planning and delivering high‑quality lessons across the KS1 curriculum

* Differentiating learning to support pupils with varying abilities, including those with SEND

* Using formative and summative assessment to track progress and inform planning

* Working closely with teaching assistants to maximise pupil support

* Supporting pupils’ emotional development and promoting positive behaviour
