Booth Welsh have partnered with a client in Glasgow to help them resource a Control Systems Engineer to work across their project Department within a large production/manufacturing plant near Glasgow

This will be a contract role with a good hourly rate for 6 months at least and will probably go a lot longer than this.

Knowledge and experience working in a process environment
Experience within design as well as implementation/commissioning
Full working knowledge of Rockwell packages as a Control Systems Engineer

Control Systems Engineer

Capability to design control systems ‘from the ground up’ as a Control Systems Engineer
PLC programming
HMI programming
Network design
Instrumentation setup and configuration
Documentation - loop sheets, functional specifications etc.
High level of safety knowledge in process area
Working knowledge of IEC 61511
Capability to complete design (SIS/SIF)
Knowledge and experience on industrial networks (ethernet, Profibus would be beneficial)
Wider knowledge of 3rd party systems (e.g. Turck)
