Aspire People is seeking a compassionate and resilient Mental Health Mentor to support students in a specialist setting in Acocks Green. This full‑time role is available immediately, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Role Overview
Provide 1:1 and small‑group emotional and behavioural support

Help pupils develop coping strategies, self‑regulation, and confidence

Work closely with teachers, pastoral teams, and external agencies

Support students in overcoming barriers to learning

Build strong, trusting relationships with vulnerable young people

Contribute to behaviour plans, wellbeing interventions, and EHCP targets

What We're Looking For
Experience supporting young people with SEMH or mental health needs

A calm, patient, and empathetic approach

Strong behaviour management and de‑escalation skills

Ability to motivate and engage students who may be disengaged

A genuine passion for improving young people's wellbeing

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
