Job Title: SEN Learning Support Assistant (Secondary School)
Location: Rugeley
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
Start Date: ASAP

Are you passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to reach their full potential? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Rugeley.

The Role:

Support students with SEN, including those with ASD, ADHD, and SEMH needs, across KS3–KS4.

Work closely with class teachers to adapt learning and ensure all students can access the curriculum.

Provide 1:1 and small group interventions to support learning and wellbeing.

Assist with behaviour management strategies to help students stay engaged in lessons.

Promote inclusion and help create a positive, nurturing learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience working with SEN students in a school setting is highly desirable.

A calm, patient, and resilient approach to working with young people.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

A genuine passion for helping young people succeed both academically and socially
