Primary Learning Support Assistant – SEN (Autism)
Harlow | Full-Time | Immediate Start

We are recruiting a Primary Learning Support Assistant with SEN and autism experience to work in a primary school Hub / resource provision in Harlow. This is a long-term, full-time role with an immediate start, running until July 2026.

The role:

Supporting pupils with Autism as the primary area of need

*

Working within a specialist SEN Hub

*

Delivering tailored academic and emotional support

*

Assisting with personal care when required

Hours:

*

Monday to Friday

*

8:30am – 3:15pm

Requirements:

*

Previous experience supporting children with SEN / Autism

*

Experience in a special school or resource provision preferred

*

Knowledge of autism strategies such as TEACCH, Attention Autism, Zones of Regulation, AET framework, and sensory approaches

*

Strong behaviour management and communication skills

Compliance (essential to work in schools):

*

Enhanced DBS (Update Service or willing to apply)

*

Right to work in the UK

*

Willingness to complete safeguarding training
