An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to join a multi national manufacturer.

The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for taking design concepts from prototype stage through to successful launch and in to full production having responsibility for all associated equipment.

Further responsibilities will include:

*Oversee product development projects from conceptualization of processes and equipment through to quotation and launch.

*Managing multiple suppliers of tooling and capital equipment

*Create, develop, test and integrate new processes and equipment into production ensuring that quality, cost and timing targets for the specific product and project are met.

*Lead the generation of PFMEAs, process flows, control plans and standard operating instructions to support both pre-production and production processes.

*Support with control plan generation

*Sign off new equipment including management of run at rates and capability studies both in plant and at the toolmaker

*Support product design in the development of the components ensuring best in class design for manufacture

*Management of equipment installation and contractors.

Ideally candidates will be educated to degree level with demonstrable experience within the automotive industry. Candidates should have excellent communication skills together with proven ability in launching new projects.
