The role – Primary SEN Teaching assistant

The successful Primary SEN Teaching assistant will be required to support students with ASD, SEMH and other learning disabilities, providing learning materials to cater for specific abilities.
Providing one-to-one or small group support to students, assisting with learning tasks and promoting their inclusion in classroom activities.
Build a trusting and positive relationship with students and communicate according to their understanding.
As the new Primary SEN teaching assistant, you will be responsible for leading 1:1 intervention.
Under the guidance of teaching staff, provide feedback to students, parents and carers about their progress, achievements and any potential issues.
Collaborate with teachers and external professionals to implement individualised education plans and behaviour support strategies.
