We are excited to be opening a small home for two children in Newhaven. This home will be led by one of our experienced Managers.

The Role:
We are seeking three shift leaders to join the team in our new therapeutic home in Newhaven. The successful candidates will work under the direction of the Management Team to lead an effective service in supporting our children on a day-to-day basis with a range of complex therapeutic needs.
All roles include shift work including weekends and sleep in responsibilities.

The Requirements:
Excellent communication skills.
Empathy and compassion.
Experience of the demands of care work.
Self-motivated & well organised.
Able to provide effective day to day leadership and use own initiative.
Able to demonstrate some therapeutic understanding.
Flexibility to respond to the changing needs of those we support.
Available to work on a set Rota basis, including sleep in duties (all shift patterns remain the same, and are predictable for the long term to allow our team to organise their own childcare and needs).
Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations and ensure the well-being of children in therapeutic care.
Administer medication and manage care plans in accordance with established protocols.
Provide support in behaviour management and assist with meal preparation.
Maintain clear communication with team members and families regarding care strategies.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including first aid procedures.
Foster a nurturing environment that promotes emotional and physical development.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £14.50 per hour
Expected hours: 28 – 42 per week
