Main Duties to be Carried Out
o
Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System tailored to electric motor development and manufacturing.
o
Conduct regular quality audits (internal and supplier) to ensure adherence to quality standards and drive corrective actions.
o
Define, track and submit regular reports on key quality metrics and lead problem-solving initiatives using tools such as 8D, FMEA, and SPC.
o
Manage quality-related documentation, including control plans, inspection procedures, and component PPAP/PSW submissions.
o
Serve as quality lead in new product development, ensuring DFMEA and PFMEA processes are integrated early and thoroughly.
o
Lead supplier quality activities, including evaluation and qualification of new suppliers, conducting supplier audits, reviewing supplier PPAPs, and managing supplier performance through scorecards and corrective action requests.
o
Oversee incoming inspection, in-process quality checks, and final testing of electric motors to verify conformance to specifications.
o
Lead customer warranty investigations, issue resolution, and proactive communication to improve customer satisfaction.
o
Provide guidance and coaching to colleagues in quality principles and problem-solving techniques.
o
Support health, safety, and environmental compliance related to product quality and regulatory requirements.
o
Represent the company in quality reviews with customers and external bodies.
o
Maintain and manage calibration systems for inspection and testing equipment.
o
Drive continual improvement programs using established methodologies where applicable.
o
Any other duties as reasonably necessary for the fulfilment of the role
