Are you passionate about music education and dedicated to fostering the musical talents of young learners? We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Music Teacher to join our vibrant team at a Secondary School in Farnborough.

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a dynamic Music Teacher to join our Secondary School in Farnborough on a full-time, long-term contract starting from September 2024. As part of our supportive department, you will be responsible for teaching Music to students in KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and inspiring lessons to nurture their musical abilities. The school will consider Early Career Teachers for Music as well as overseas trained Music teachers that comes with experience following the UK curriculum.

Located in Farnborough, Hampshire, the Secondary School caters to students aged 11 to 16. With a student body of approximately 650 students, the School prioritise high teaching standards and foster a friendly and collaborative environment among our staff. Our school values the professional development and well-being of our team, offering ample support and free parking on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver captivating music lessons across different age groups and skill levels.
Teach various aspects of music, including theory, history, practical skills, and performance techniques.
Cultivate a creative and inclusive learning environment to encourage students' musical development and self-expression.
Organize and supervise music events, concerts, and performances to showcase students' achievements.
Provide guidance and support to students preparing for music exams, competitions, and auditions.
Requirements:

Qualified Music teacher with relevant teaching qualifications and experience.
Proficiency in playing and teaching a range of musical instruments and music theory.
Passion for music education and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in leading ensembles, choirs, or orchestras is desirable.
