Music Teacher – Chorley Full-Time | Long-Term |
We are currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join a supportive and welcoming secondary school in Chorley. This is a full-time, long-term position with an Immediate start, offering an excellent opportunity to inspire students and make a real impact within a thriving music department.
The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential KS5 depending on experience). You will encourage creativity, performance, and a love of music, supporting students of varying abilities to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Music lessons in line with the national curriculum
Teach practical and theoretical elements of Music
Support students’ musical development through performance, composition, and listening
Assess, track, and report on student progress
Contribute positively to the wider school community and department
Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom managementThe Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (ECTs welcome to apply)
Experience teaching Music at secondary level
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Passionate about Music education and student development
Able to commit to a full-time, long-term roleWhat’s on Offer
