A well-established construction and property services company is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join their finance team. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality refurbishment and maintenance projects across London and the South East, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation with a strong community focus and a growing portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain accurate financial records for multiple construction projects.
* Process invoices, purchase orders, and subcontractor payments.
* Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow reporting.
* Assist with monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
* Liaise with project managers and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate financial administration.
* Support payroll and VAT submissions in collaboration with the finance manager.
Ideal Candidate:
* Proven experience as a Bookkeeper within the construction or property services sector.
* Strong understanding of CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) and VAT regulations.
* Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar).
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* AAT qualification or equivalent experience preferred.
