Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a ‘Good’ School based in Greenford, Ealing.
SUMMARY
A continuing ‘Good’ Primary School for pupils aged 4-11 are seeking to appoint their next SEN Learning Support Assistant to work with pupils with Autism and other associated learning needs. This will be a full time, long term and term time role starting either this term or from September.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will provide tailored support to students with additional needs, helping them to access the curriculum and develop essential life skills. You will work closely with teachers, therapists, and families to create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEN.
* Assist with learning activities, classroom management, and behavioural support.
* Implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and adapt teaching methods to meet student needs.
* Support students with communication, social interaction, and personal care where necessary.
* Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment that encourages independence.
* Collaborate with teachers, SEN coordinators, and external professionals to ensure students receive the best support.
About You:
* Previous experience working with children with special educational needs
* A patient, caring, and resilient approach to supporting students.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Knowledge of specialist strategies, such as Makaton, PECS, or Autism support techniques (desirable).
* A commitment to inclusive education and helping every child succeed.

Requirements:
* Experience supporting ASD learners and those with additional needs
* Familiarity with PECs and MAKATON (highly desirable)
* Enhanced DBS on the update service
* At least grade C in GCSE Maths and English
