Children's Social Worker - Children in Care

Herefordshire Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Social Worker to join our team. This permanent, full-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of children in care within the Hereford area.

We offer:

A competitive salary of £35,235 - £39,513 (plus a market supplement of £5,000 per year, totaling £40,235 - £44,513), a relocation package of up to £10,000, and a welcome payment of £10,000.
Working hours: 37 hours

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include conducting thorough assessments, developing care plans, liaising with families and other professionals, advocating for children's best interests, and ensuring their safety and well-being. Specific duties will be outlined during the interview process.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a relevant Social Work qualification (e.g., Social Work Degree) and be registered with the HCPC.
Experience in safeguarding is essential, and experience working with specific vulnerable groups would be advantageous.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report writing skills are required.

Requirements:

Social Work England registered
Social Work Degree or equivalent
Enhanced DBS
