Accounts Assistant
Location: Pershore
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum (DOE)
Job Type: Full-time, 5 days per week in office

The current accounts function has been run by a small team with deep knowledge of the business.
As the business evolves, they’re looking for a capable, forward-thinking accounts professional to help shape the future of their finance function.
The Role:
This is a varied, hands-on role combining general bookkeeping and credit control responsibilities. It’s ideal for someone who thrives in a small team, enjoys improving processes, and wants a role with long-term potential. The successful candidate will support the finance team day-to-day, with the opportunity to step into a more senior role over time.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily bookkeeping and accounting duties using Sage
Chasing outstanding invoices and maintaining strong customer relationships
Supporting job costing entries and processing timesheets
Assisting with payroll data and salary prep
Reconciling bank accounts, supplier ledgers, and credit card transactions
Managing accounts payable and receivable functions
Contributing to VAT returns and year-end preparation
Helping streamline and modernise current systems and processes What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience in bookkeeping and credit control
Competent with Sage and solid understanding of accounting principles
Able to work independently while being a strong team player
Keen to join a business with long-term potential—not winding down, but stepping up
