Level 3 SEN Learning Support Assistant

£95-105 per day

Qualiteach Yorkshire are looking for an experienced Level 3 SEN Learning Support Assistant for a specialist school in Leeds for children with moderate and complex learning needs. The setting is a large SEN school with multiple sites who cater for a mix of ages, and are looking for someone with experience to join their team full time within their primary sector ASAP.

The Role:

* Working within a 1:1 and group basis who have a variety of needs, tailoring learning to suit them

* Working within a team and helping to build a comfortable environment for all children and staff

* Following care plans, EHCP’s, Pupil Passports and other relevant documents

* Being comfortable with personal care is advantageous

* Supporting a fantastic curriculum that teaches the children and young adults real life skills, as well as subject specific knowledge

What you will need:

* Experience of working with children who have complex needs

* A willingness to ‘jump in’ and help where necessary

* Being comfortable with taking pupils for outings, supporting their independence and being a positive influence

* Be able to assist the children with their emotional literacy, helping them to co and self regulate

* Knowledge of different behaviour management techniques and how to support Special Educational Needs to best assist the array of needs of the children

* Level 3 or above qualification relating to education or childcare
