Mechanical Design Engineer – Building Services (HVAC)

Location: Bromsgrove

Salary: Up to £70,000 + £7000 car allowance

About the Role:
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer with solid experience in Building Services, specifically within HVAC systems and office fit-out projects. You will play a key role in the design, coordination, and delivery of mechanical services across a range of commercial projects, ensuring high standards and compliance throughout.

Key Responsibilities:

* Produce and manage mechanical design calculations and layouts for HVAC systems

* Prepare and review technical drawings using AutoCAD and Revit

* Generate detailed validation reports and ensure design compliance with building regulations and project specifications

* Collaborate closely with internal teams, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery

* Participate in client meetings, site inspections, and design reviews

* Support and mentor junior engineers where necessary

Requirements:

* Proven experience in mechanical building services design, particularly in HVAC and commercial office fit-outs

* Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit

* Strong understanding of building services regulations and standards

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Ability to produce accurate and thorough validation reports

* Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

Working Arrangement:
We strongly prefer candidates who are happy to work in the office 5 days per week. However, up to 2 days working from home may be considered for the right individual.
