Senior Agile Project Manager

London - Hybrid (2 days/week, usually Tues & Fri)

12-month contract

Day rate: £800 (umbrella)

About the role:

Assists in developing, managing and coordinating plans, people, dependencies, risks and issues between the lab and all other stakeholders, including those external to the lab (other teams, labs, platforms, group executive functions and 3rd parties).
Coordinates complex and high-risk implementations across many different stakeholders/parties.
Develops the sequence for integration related tasks in collaboration with the Product Owner, aligned to the lab backlog.
Catalogues and manages dependencies between the lab and other teams.
Works with stakeholders at all levels, and outside of the lab to ensure interlock to enable the lab to deliver at pace.
Identifies blockers to delivery and where possible mitigates / resolves, escalating to product owner(s) / lab leadership where required.
Acts as interface between the supplier (3rd Party) and key business stakeholders.
Manages complex and high-risk implementations requiring integration between multiple parties (internal/external) to ensure safe delivery'
Coordinates the integration process and / or implementation events across shared infrastructure (e.g. Upgrading the Mainframe); leads on the SI process, coordinating parties to get the change over the line'
Provides expertise (not content) for governance activity owned by the Product Owner, e.g. Privacy and Records Impact Assessment (PRIA) for change that impacts across multiple labs.
Must haves:

Proven experience within the Project or Programme Management arena which correlates to this integrator role.
Experience of Agile Delivery: Solid experience of managing stakeholder expectations and change in an agile environment. Champions Agile methodologies and provides coaching and advice. Shares experience on the most appropriate methods and tools to use for the specific work required. JIRA and Confluence experience.
An appreciation and understanding of (but not expertise in) software development, technical concepts, infrastructure, databases, data, cyber and technical security, development and the change lifecycle.
Stakeholder Management - Develops and improves stakeholder relationships to build consensus and improve delivery of change outcomes. Uses experience to manage conflicting priorities by facilitating discussion and resolution, persuading stakeholders to consider alternative views.
Planning, Tracking, Reporting & Governance - Communicates regular status updates to key stakeholders, supporting lead integrator and resolving high priority issues affecting delivery. Uses experience to manage critical risks/issues/dependencies arising out of Status Reporting and agile meetings, takes ownership for critical issues and ensures resolution within agreed timescales.
Collaboration and communication: Able to influence others with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Growth mindset: Able to learn and use new skills & knowledge in varying circumstances and are comfortable providing recommendations and thought leadership using your own judgment.

Nice to haves:

Trade Surveillance - An appreciation/understanding or (preferably) experience of Market Abuse Regulation and the mechanisms used to monitor and report against these.
An appreciation of infrastructure hosting and delivery solutions - Software as a Service; Public, Hybrid and Private Cloud hosting solutions; Infrastructure as Code etc.
A project/programme management qualification or equivalent real-world experience.
