Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking Supported Living Care Workers to work on a temporary basis within supported living services in Sunderland. These are full-time roles working 37 hours per week.

Overview:

The service supports young adults with a range of complex needs including learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and behaviours that challenge. The role is focused on supporting individuals to live as independently as possible while engaging positively within the community. This is a full time temporary opportunity suited to experienced care staff who can commit to rota based work.

Main Duties:

* Deliver person centred care and support within supported living settings

* Promote independence through physical emotional and psychological support

* Provide personal care including intimate care where required

* Support with medication in line with care plans and training

* Assist with daily living tasks and community activities

* Use positive behavioural support to achieve positive outcomes

* Work collaboratively with colleagues and wider professionals

* Uphold dignity respect and professional standards at all times

Essential Criteria:

* Previous experience within care or supported living services

* Enhanced DBS certificate

* Flexibility to work across rota patterns including evenings, weekends and bank holidays

* Compassionate, reliable and professional approach

* Commitment to high quality person centred care

* Relevant training such as Moving and Assisting Medication Handling or First Aid is advantageous
