Hathershaw, part of the Pinnacle Learning Trust, is seeking a committed and enthusiastic English Teacher to join their dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher to inspire pupils and contribute to strong outcomes in English.

The Role

Teach English across the relevant key stages

Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons

Assess, track and support pupil progress effectively

Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment

Work collaboratively with colleagues within the department and across the trust

The Ideal Candidate Will

Hold QTS (or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification)

Have strong subject knowledge in English

Be passionate about literacy and student achievement

Demonstrate effective behaviour management skills

Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Desirable Experience & Qualifications

Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting

Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)

Ability to differentiate lessons to meet a range of learning needs

Experience working within a multi-academy trust (desirable)

Strong use of assessment to inform planning
