As our Network Technician (PMaC) in the East of England, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the performance, safety, and reliability of our gas distribution network. From monitoring system pressures and managing remedial works to supporting emergency response and customer enquiries, you’ll be at the heart of our operational excellence.
You’ll be working within the Electrical and Instrumentation PMaC Team (Pressure Monitoring and Control), monitoring our SCADA systems to maintain security of supply, maintain Average System Pressure (ASP) targets and reduce leakage. As part of this you will be working closely with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and engineering standards. This is a hands-on, dynamic role that requires strong technical knowledge, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
Please note: To be considered for this opportunity you must hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to work standby which is rotational.

Network Performance – Monitor SCADA systems, manage pressure controls, and ensure system security.

Customer Engagement – Act as the public face of Cadent, resolving complaints and enquiries with professionalism.
Team Support – Deputise for the Network Supervisor, share best practices, and contribute to a cross-skilled workforce. What you’ll bring:
Qualifications –
Valid UK driving licence
Experience & Skills –
An understanding of gas distribution, pressure control systems, and core processes
Knowledge of HSE regulations, process safety, and risk management
Ability to interpret utility plans, technical drawings, and risk assessments
Excellent communication skills and computer literacy (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Can prioritise workload efficiently and work standalone, as well as in a team.
